Joint Forces in Palezieux!
Rugby’s values were firmly on display this weekend at Palezieux. The ‘Passion’ for the game and ‘Solidarity’ as the community joined teams. With unfamiliar players showing them the ‘Respect’ we expect on the field, it made you proud to be part of rugby.
U8 & U12 reports below from this weekends Rugby reporters. Great job keep it up.

U8’s
Our youngest players had a memorable day at the Palézieux tournament on Saturday, 5th October. With only three U8s available Noor, Baptiste and Ben. The ERTS squad joined forces with Palézieux and Nyon to form a powerful combined team.
Despite coming from different clubs, the players quickly gelled and built a formidable squad. Together they took on Valais twice and Lausanne once, showing impressive teamwork and energy throughout.
The U8s impressed with their fearless tackling and excellent defensive “wall” formation. In attack, they put into practice the “airline wings” formation, stretching defences and moving the ball with real creativity.
Special thanks go to the Palézieux U8 coaches for welcoming the ERTS players into their team. Noor, Baptiste, and Ben all played with enthusiasm and determination, and each of them thoroughly enjoyed their day of rugby.
This wonderful experience for our youngest players, gave them the chance to learn, make new friends, and be part of an exciting team effort. Well done!
U10’s
Congratulations to Thomas Huelin, who was voted player of the match by SportEasy.
No report this week but they can be seen in full action thanks to the images provided by Etienne.
U12’s
The U12 team had a fantastic day of rugby at Palézieux, showing real determination, skill, and teamwork across three hard-fought matches.
TS/Palezieux vs 3 Lacs
The team opened the day in style with a commanding 8–1 victory. From the outset, the players linked up well, finding space and finishing with confidence.
TS/Palezieux vs ERL
The second match was a tough and scrappy contest that ended in a narrow 3–4 defeat. Several injuries disrupted the flow (four for Lausanne and one for TS/P), but the team fought back hard towards the end. Despite their late surge, the comeback fell just short. A gritty effort that showed the team’s resilience.
TS/Palezieux vs Valais
The day ended on a high with a 3–0 win. Emily produced a brilliant break to seal the match, running across the pitch and beating the entire defence before touching down. Earlier, Enak powered through defenders for well-earned tries, while Chris impressed with pace and flair to score. It was an excellent all-round team performance, full of energy and spirit.
Highlights of the Day
- Enak’s strong attacking runs and clinical finishing.
- Chris’s speed and creativity in open play.
- Emily’s spectacular cross-field try that capped off the tournament.
A big thank you to the players for their effort and teamwork, and to the parents and supporters who cheered them on throughout the day. The squad continues to grow in confidence and skill with every tournament—well done to everyone involved!
